currently known bugs:

- when you die on the boss fight, you start the room with 50% health (not intentional)

- if you let the slimes on the 5th room of the first level accumulate, they end up getting so big that they end up glitching out

- opening the skill book menu during any transition causes the game to bug out a little bit (doesn't display a GUI)

- and some other stuff that i prolly forgot

current issues:

- tutorialization: skills are not explained and are infact almost useless

- level design is mid at best

- skills need a full rework

this game will most likely not be worked on any longer, which is quite unfortunate !

This looks like a game made by a relatively new team, and I think there’s a lot of potential. Between platforming, pickups, conditional walls, mobs and boss patterns, you have most of the tools in your arsenal already - with the exception perhaps of moving platforms which is always a little difficult to deal with.

I thought some of the control decisions were a bit odd (mouseclick for staff attack for example), but no real issues with how the platforming feels and getting the player to hit the wall (and potentially jump off it) was a good design decision. The sign that says you can walljump and dash is definitely not needed or comes a little late by comparison. My natural instinct on the world map is to click on a level but that sends you into the level you were last in (since you don’t move on the map).

Gave up on collecting coins and beating mobs up after the second or third level and just breezed through and beat the boss - jumping up a single side of wall and waiting for dash to regenerate so I could get higher wasn’t really what I wanted to spend my time doing when exploring, so I just decided not to.

Finished the game.

It’s nice that you can turn off the music, but the ability to turn the sound down a bit instead of muting it completely would be nice. Some darker edging around terrain that you can walk through would be good. I was rather confused at first.

The dash defaults to Left after you walljump, regardless of which key you have already held down. This means you have to wait until you start falling to be able to dash to the right. This is likely due to checking for some kind of keypress rather than if a key is held down - which would often be the case during walljumping.

It’s not especially needed, but a small, tiny amount of grace time for walking off the corner of the ground is always nice. Same for walljumping grace periods.

The game is great but I'v seen the dev working on this game since day one and I know they will keep improving their skills. Hope you keep working hard and someday we will all play bigger games that you make. Keep up the same energy you had for this game jam!

Really fun game! The visuals and audio are good, I like the skills and attacks, the jumping and dash are fun, the wall jumping could use some work, not sure what exactly, the first jump where you had to slide down then jump and dash across a gap and wall jump up, I died a whole lot, the controls make it tough to platform and do combat. Other than that great work!

Movement feels good, music is fantastic, love the spritework.

The wall jump sign needs to be moved sooner, or the first few jumps need to be changed to not need wall jumps.

I like how the slimes combine.

fun game! maybe move the sign for wall climbing/jumping closer to the beginning, as i had to do that to get over the jump where'd  you first learn to dash as i kept missing it. I also ran into a cauldron but didn't know what it was for?

Awesome game, it has a cute artstyle and the movement feels really nice. It also has a good soundtrack.

Smooth movement, cute artstyle, good music. I really like this game. Could use a volume slider, but other than that a solid 10/10 from me!

Really cute game, getting Celeste vibes from the platforming, I died A LOT to the boss XD, it was fun tho, I tried to use all the different skill.

pals I'm sorry if i don't awnser all comments, I'm currently processing them rn on my brain

The movement motion feel very polished, Also love the art-style & fitting music. With a challenging boss fight at the end :D .

Suggestions

- Smooth Font did feel a bit out of place.

- Infinite wall-jumps on one wall felt awkward at times.

- A Volume slider.

- More roadblocks & enemies that encourage the use of spells.

Overall a good game, well done :)

Cute game, definitely Celeste vibes, but if you could smack things xD

The movement feels really good in this game and the spells feel satisfying to use. I didn't get a chance to explore the full spell list but the ones I did choose to try out were a blast. The graphics look very cute too!
